The quickest and easiest way to turn them into straight cash is to visit Piper the Statuette Buyer. Piper will have a quest that lets you turn in one statuette for 3 unbound currency. This quest can be repeated for as many statuettes as you have on you.

Christopher's quest will have you delivering three packages throughout the city, and upon completion, you'll get a Mercury Revelation that you can read to earn 4 or more gold. Can be sold for 1 gold to any merchant. Or Traded to Piper for 3 gold. Together with an Alchemy Proxy, can be used to complete the Lv30 Midas' Touch quest which yields a reward of at least 4 gold, or grants Mercury coupons worth 6 gold to friends of the Mercury Union.
